KICS has sister society agreements with three major communication institutes in the world — IEEE Communication Society (ComSoc), Institute of Electronics, Information and Communications Engineers (IEICE), and China Institute of Communications (CIC) — to cooperate on supporting academic exchanges, organizing joint academic conferences, and reducing membership registration fees. International academic events coordinated by KICS build an academic cooperation network encompassing experts from all around the world, through which we can promote Korean ICT to the globe.
ICTC is an annual international conference on ICT convergence technology. It is a flagship international conference of KICS, co-sponsored by IEEE ComSoc and IEICE-CS. Being held in October, it annually attracts more than 450 participants.
APCC, first organized by the KICS in 1993 to commemorate the Daejeon Expo, has grown into a global conference co-sponsored by the IEEE in collaboration with other countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
